This is an evening tour through the illuminated old town. The night watchman sounds his horn at the Rothenburg pond, outside the town gates. A tour guide accompanies participants to the “Alter Bauhof” where a solo trumpeter from the Dinkelsbühl Boys’ Band provides a musical greeting, while the pedlar woman proffers a welcome drink. The night watchman sings his song for the late hour “Hört Ihr Leut ...”.

Historical Greeting at the Town Gate
Just like in medieval times, the town’s soldiers stand in front of the city gates, ready to defend it against strangers and enemies. A solo trumpeter from the Dinkelsbühl Boys' Band and the pedlar woman greet participants and the latter offers a welcome drink. After that the medieval gates are opened to reveal a unique, historic backdrop which is best explored in the company of a tour guide. N.B. The number of tour guides depends on the size of the group and must be booked separately.
