EASTER MARKET AND EASTER-CONCERT by the DINKELSBÜHL KNABENKAPELLE
The famous Boys’ Band consists of about 80 young musicians dressed in period Rococo uniforms. They are bound to enthral their audiences wherever the band perform.

SUMMER DRAMA FESTIVAL (Productions in german)
Staged by Dinkelsbuehl's theatre company. During the summer months the theatre presents top-class theatrical productions for adults and children on the romantic open-air stage in the battlements'

TRANSYLVANIAN SAXONS GENERAL MEETING
Transylvanian Saxons from all over Germany and overseas have met for their home convention in Dinkelsbühl for more than 50 years.

DIE KINDERZECHE
The historical festival “Kinderzeche” (performed since 1897) is one of Germany’s oldest and most colourful festival plays. Legend has it that, when Swedish hordes under the command of Colonel von Sperreuth laid siege to the town in 1632 the gate-keeper’s daughter Lore, together with the children of the town, pleaded for mercy and saved the town from pillage and destruction. The festival week lasts for 10 days and is accompanied by a diverse peripheral programme.

SUMMER BREEZE FESTIVAL
Germany's second largest Heavy-Metal-Festival located on an airfield in Dinkelsbuehl-Sinbronn.

October / November
FISH HARVESTING WEEK
For centuries, the lakes and rivers around Dinkelsbühl have provided an ideal environment for fish-breeding. A colourful programme of fish-based events is held during fish harvest week and restaurants serve up gourmet fish dishes.

November / Dezember
CHRISTMAS MARKET
Delightful Christmas market in the idyllic Spitalhof. Nooks and alleys are decorated for Christmas. Crib in St. George's Minster (approx. 60 m²) showing a model of the historic town. More about Christoph von Schmid, author of the Christmas carol "Ihr Kinderlein kommet" ("Oh come little children") is to be found in the Historical Museum "House of History - of War and Peace" (Audio guides in English available).
